Adult Martial Arts
Taekwondo is a Korean martial art. The movements of Taekwon-do are dynamic and graceful. It is an excellent practice for training both the mind and body. Taekwon-do students use all parts of their body for defense and attack, with active movements and postures. Taekwon-do places emphasis on discipline and conduct as well.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is an extremely effective martial art to neutralize a larger, stronger opponent. BJJ is mostly ground fighting, since most actual fights move quickly to the ground. We approach BJJ training so that all members learn critical self-defense techniques to escape harmful situations. Our training includes standing self-defense, with strong throwing take downs, and BJJ onto the mat, where we fight for dominant control positions to submit our opponent.

Aikido can be translated as "the Way of Harmony", and is a peaceful approach to the ancient Japanese Budo traditions. It teaches fluid movements based on balance and positioning. The Aikidoist learns to blend with an opponent's energy and redirect it to render an attacker helpless through off-balances, joint locks, and throws. Aikido is a non-competitive art, where students work only to better themselves rather than to conquer others.
